• Wind chimes add a relaxing and harmonous sound to your garden.  

You have most likely seen wind chimes blowing in the wind and you most probably have heard the pleasant sounds that they produce when the wind blows. This calming and relaxing sound makes wind chimes an excellent addition to your garden, no matter the style.

Wind chimes have been noted for their stress relieving and relaxing qualities by offering a slow, soft and rhythmic sound to focus on and participate in deep thought. If you live next to a busy road, a wind chime can be especially helpful as it has the potential to block out the loud noise of cars and traffic. Replacing it instead with slow, almost magical, chimes.

Additionally, if you listen carefully, the wind chime can produce a whole variety of different sounds as the wind is ever changing and the way it affects the chimes will also change.

There are a wide variety of materials in which wind chimes are made, from metal to wood to natural bamboo. You really are spoilt for choice when choosing the design and type you would like.

However, before you start buying and putting up your wind chimes, it may be best to check with your neighbours that they are also in favour of getting a wind chime. They can be quite loud and they don't stop when it gets dark, so on a particularly windy night, it can get very noisy which may cause some problems.

To conclude, wind chimes can certainly add a relaxing element to your garden, but there are some drawbacks to having them as well.
